Stephen leaves Greece behind as his journey takes him toward the Asian continent, where a new set of challenges awaits. Unlike his travels in Europe, Stephen will now need visas for each country he visits, adding another layer of preparation to his adventure. Driving along winding roads surrounded by stunning landscapes, Stephen soaks in the beauty of his final stretch in Greece.
As he approaches his last campsite in the country, the road conditions change. Gravel paths lead Stephen to reflect on his bike’s condition; while the machine itself is holding up well, the tires are beginning to show signs of wear. Navigating the uneven terrain requires extra care, as one wrong move could lead to a slip or damage. Fortunately, he’s already arranged for new tires in Turkey, where he has a trusted contact.
After some time on the gravel road, Stephen realizes he’s taken a wrong turn. Backtracking, he discovers the main road marked as closed, but after observing locals using it, he decides to take a chance. Despite initial uncertainty, the gamble pays off, as the road is navigable, allowing him to make better time on smooth asphalt.
Reaching the campsite, Stephen notices his bike’s silencer has come loose, requiring a quick fix before setting up camp for the night. The next day, he crosses into Turkey and heads to Izmir, where his bike gets a well-deserved tire replacement and servicing. With his bike now in top shape, Stephen is ready to dive deeper into Asia and continue his incredible journey.
