As Stephen starts travelling through Albania, his first point of interest is in Durres, where he meets Father Jeffrey, a Maltese priest who has been living and doing mission work in Albania since 1999.
Father Jeffrey recounts his experience about the early days of his mission work in Durres, saying that there was a desperate need for a spiritual center for the community. As improvements took shape in Durres, including the construction of the village church with financial support from the Maltese, Father Jeffery observed a strong desire for growth within the community. This enthusiasm inspired him to pursue additional projects, driven by a commitment to give back and foster continued development in the area.
While in Durres, Stephen also took the opportunity to visit some local tourist attractions such as the Skanderbeg Square, and a war bunker which has been converted into a military museum of sorts.
