After Stephen’s eventful start in Sicily behind him, he makes his way to Messina in Northern Sicily where he catches the ferry to mainland Italy. His arrival is greeted by rainy weather, which provided Stephen an opportunity to test out how his bike handles in these conditions.
With the weather clearing up, Stephen decides to take the scenic route to his next destination and stops in different towns rich in history and culture, such as Gallipoli and Lecce. Renowned for their Baroque Architecture, these towns contain several historic building and churches which reflect their traditional heritage.
With his desire to explore now satisfied, Stephen continued towards his destination in Bari to get to the ferry which will take him to his next country, Albania.
