As Stephen marks the beginning of his epic journey with his arrival at Sicily, he is greeted by warm and sunny weather and beautiful scenery as a backdrop while driving. Quick to make friends and plans, Stephen decides to visit mount Etna with a fellow biker which he had met earlier that day, however, on the way to their destination Stephen experiences his first mechanical fault of the trip.
During a pit stop in Zafferana, Stephen notes a strange odour being emitted from his bike. After seeing his bike’s battery swollen, Stephen decides that the best option would be to tow the bike to a nearby mechanic as travelling with the bike in this condition can cause significant damage and can also be a risk to his safety.
After some testing, the issue was narrowed down to a faulty rectifier, which was then replaced along with the battery by the friendly mechanic. Although Stephen’s day turned out different than he had planned, he was relieved that this issue emerged early on in his trip where it was convenient to find the necessary parts and a skilled mechanic to fix this fault.
We’ll see how Stephen’s adventure continues on next week’s episode of Dinja Mutur! New episodes of Dinja Mutur will be airing on ONE every Thursday at 10:00pm, and if you missed an episode, you can watch the repeat:
